1.SITE CONDITIONS: The Brewery is located at 284 Amory Street, a short walk from the Stony Brook and Green Street MBTA stops, with ample onsite parking for artists and visitors. This highly-visited and lively JP Open Studios Group Site accommodates 30+ artists in outdoor, randomly assigned 10 x 10 foot areas. In addition to existing food options, food vendors are also recruited for the event for the enjoyment of artists and visitors alike.

The complex is the historic Haffenreffer beer brewery consisting of a number of large renovated industrial buildings now home to many local businesses and non-profits such as Urbano, Crop Circle Kitchen, the Tony Williams Dance Center, Mike's Fitness, Ula Café, Bella Luna restaurant, the Sam Adams Brewery as well as several artist studios. The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation manages the site.

2. SET UP

Open Studios setup is in the rear "courtyard" area off Brookside Avenue. Artist positions in the court yard are set by the Site Coordinator at the Site Meeting in August. Contact the site coordinator for details.

Set up is on Saturday morning from 8 to 10 AM and artists are encouraged to arrive earlier rather than later. Artists are also strongly encouraged to setup a 10 x 10 foot tent with appropriate weights which are inexpensive and readily available at department stores. The site is not secure at night and we encourage artists to remove all art work at the end of the day; however artists have the option of leaving the tents unsecured. While restrooms are available, electricity is not.
