Jamaica Plain Open Studios Gallery
Kim Katz is a Jamaica Plain resident artist who works in mixed media collage, as well as representational drawing and painting. Her work often blurs the line between observational and abstract. She uses charcoal, pencil, paint, cut paper and paste to produce work that is visceral and intuitive in its process. Her subject matter explores the concepts of beauty, repugnance, and the mundane. Recently, she has been studying plants and flowers as her subject.
