Location: Eliot School Inside, 2nd floor

My Book Boxes are inspired by a project I designed for my students at the Eliot School. They incorporate woodcarving, wood burning, staining, painting, collage, and the use of reclaimed & found materials. The notion of title & authorship, ownership & place, are themes I’m trying to explore with these boxes. I’m inspired by signs of wear & tear; a sense that all things have a soul and are somehow connected; music and a sense that there is music in everything; the idea that intention and good will can incrementally improve the Universe; and efforts to live lightly on the planet.
