Jamaica Plain Open Studios Gallery

I use a wide variety of papers, acrylics, pastels and pencils in my work.  Plaster, clay and found objects add texture and dimension.  Layering imagery creates movement and dreamlike effects.  Landscapes- both natural and urban- and interiors are frequent inspirations.  There are often recurring images in my work, such as childlike stick houses and people. Sometimes birds. Even when I don't consciously choose to include them, they usually find a way in, so  I guess that's where they belong.  Most of my pieces are on wood, canvas and hardboard.
