Juried Show – Projections II- Art on the Brewery Walls
The Jamaica Plain Arts Council Juried Exhibition is an annual event designed to provide artists from around New England with a chance to show in a high traffic public space in Boston’s most creative neighborhood.

Projections! is back for its 2nd year!
On the evening of May 13th, 2017, the Jamaica Plain Arts Council and Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation will project artists’ images onto the outside walls of Jamaica Plain’s Brewery Complex. People will be able to view the art in a relaxed, exciting atmosphere, while listening to live music and enjoying food and drink from local JP establishments. Join us to celebrate our Jamaica Plain’s vibrant art scene.
Please consider submitting your work! This nontraditional art show is open to all artists. You can work in any medium and you do not have to live in Jamaica Plain. Innovation and originality are valued.
Submission is free and open to any artist.
Images of works in all mediums are welcome (including 2D, 3D, and video).
Each artist may submit up to three (3) images for inclusion in the Projections event.

Images must comply with the following guidelines (images that do not comply will not be accepted): JPEG format, 1920px on the longest side, titled as follows: last name_first name_ entry #(e.g. smith_john_1.jpg).
- 5 .List of images with the following information: title,medium, dimensions, price.
Wednesday, April 19 at midnight.
Jury: All submitted works will be displayed in the projected slide show. Jurors will choose works to receive and be indicated as Juror’s Choice and Best in Show Awards. Works will be reviewed for quality, originality, and innovation. Artists will be notified of jurors’ choices before the event.
Rob Festa has always had an interest in taking photographs, especially those that capture objects and places in an abstract setting. His work has been shown in galleries in the greater Boston area and New York City. He is a Boston area architect and has worked with several nationally recognized architectural firms, currently, Group One Partners. Rob is a Jamaica Plain Open Studios artist and a former Jamaica Plain Arts Council board member, co-founder of UFORGE gallery, founder and curator of JP to me and a Professional Media member of American Photographic Artist.
Jean Mineo is thrilled to be affiliated with the JP Arts Council again, having been the JP Open Studios Coordinator from 2006 – 2009. Jean was also Director of the Boston Sculptors Gallery from 2006 – 2015 and has consulted on permanent public art projects in greater Boston since 2010. Prior to this, she oversaw more than 30 exhibitions of contemporary art during her tenure as Executive Director of the New Art Center in Newton from 1994 – 2003.
