Help JPAC continue for 30 more years

Jamaica Plain Open Studios is right around the corner and we need your help! Are you interested in the vibrant and diverse arts community that exists within Jamaica Plain? Come and join us! We are always looking for enthusiastic people who can help us plan shows and events, network with other artists and arts groups, and generally keep our community alive and rockin’! It’s lots of fun. Besides … all the cool kids are doing it!

Volunteer Opportunities

Keep Jamaica Plain Open Studios alive for another 30 years. Here are some of the many ways you can get involved and make a difference.

Sponsorship and fundraising team

Help create fundraising strategies and programs
Make phone calls and in person visits to potential sponsors
Help prepare and send mailings
Update/maintain sponsor mailing list

Press and promotion team

Place event dates/news in online calendars and newsletters
Interview artists, business owners, JPAC members for articles
Press releases; writing and placement
Photograph events, art, etc to be used in materials, social media, and communications

Website and technology team

Keep our website content current
Run reports as needed (registration lists, clicks, etc)
Troubleshoot issues
Help to restructure and build a better site; upgrades, new pages, etc

Materials team

Distribute JPOS maps, posters, and banners around town
Keep JPOS maps supplied before and during the event
Keep an inventory of JPOS materials
Organize and maintain the JPOS storage unit

Communications team

Solicit items, create and share board meeting agendas, set up Zoom invites
Take notes at meetings; post on shared drive
Constant Contact; oversee contact database, create templates, schedule eblasts
Create content, write and edit JPAC communications

Education and community outreach team

New initiatives: plan workshops or other educational opportunities for artists
Promote current workshops
Recruit new members and volunteers
Audience surveys
